Guy Nunns lives in Karori where he has lived for the last 25 years. The Nunns are a well-known Wellington family. Guy’s father, Nelson, was known as the “Mayor of Cuba Street”. Guy, who has lived in Wellington all his life, has been a self-employed tradesman for much of his working career. He trained as a mechanic before becoming a qualified builder, along with a stint at Ellmers Mowers in Cuba Street for seven years. Guy takes a strong interest in local and central government, and has been greatly dissatisfied with the current council administration and their “profligate spending”. Guy has run a business, raised seven children, been involved in numerous community activities, has a good head for figures and is concerned with the increasing size of the council bureaucracy and the need to ensure that council services provided value for money for ratepayers.
